The Project Launches
Krem Le Bistro
The Creamery Bldg in the Haymarket ~ 7th & P
December 9, 2005 ~ 6-10pm
This gig was billed to "The Vince Learned Project" and was the first appearance of what became the core of the modern version of VLP. Vince is friends with Kris and Emily, the owners, and agreed to bring some music to their new establishment. The restaurant has fantastic menu and a very comfortable environment.
The performance had a cabaret feel to it because of the sparse instrumentation. We did pretty well at staying at an appropriate volume for a restaurant. The big highlight of the night, by far, was "Still Still Still." Vince pulled out this gorgeous holiday tune with a delicate melody and perfect harmonies.
